Maypole Promotions arranged for Stanley D. Chapman Emeritus Professor, University of Nottingham, who is an author and expert on the history of the Textile Industries, to give a series of four illustrated talks to help with the research for the film.
A Public Meeting was held on Saturday 9 February 2008 in the Heritage Centre, St John’s Chapel, The Butts, Belper, when over 40 people aged from 8 years old to 80 years signed up to participate in various stages of the project.
